If so, try dialing 1 (888) 5 OPTOUT and have yourself removed from the marketing database of all four of the major credit bureaus. If you have your personal information including your social security number handy, it will only take a few minutes to complete the call. I did this a few months ago and I have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of junk mail and junk phone calls I receive. Don’t worry, if you get lonely, you can call the same number to have your name put back on the list.
